Free Quote & Invoice Generator for UK Joiners

Create professional, fully itemised PDF quotes and invoices in under 60 seconds. No registration or account needed.

Joinery prices fall apart when the workshop and the site are folded into one figure. Making a staircase is a different job from hanging a standard door.

Built Specifically for UK Joinery Professionals

  • Making & Fitting: Split workshop time from the day on site, and name the timber on its own line.
  • Stairs, Doors & Specification: Price the flight or winder, the timber, the spindles, the lining and the furniture from the approved drawing.
  • Specification Changes: Record a change of size, timber or finish on the quote before you cut a replacement.
  • Bespoke vs Standard: Show how manufacture and fitting differ from buying a standard door.

Fill out the form, generate your quote or invoice, and download a clean PDF directly to your device. Your data is never saved or tracked.

Free quote and invoice template for joiners

Quote the staircase or the door while it is still in the workshop. Invoice it when it is fitted, or invoice the making on its own if you are not hanging it. Split those on the form so the customer can see the shop and the site as different money.

Joinery VAT works the same way as the checkbox says: tick Add VAT and 20% is added on top of the timber, the glass and the labour you typed as net. Leave it off if you are not registered. Your document is not stored.

While the measure is still fresh, Pencil for UK joiners can turn the workshop notes on WhatsApp into that same split of making and fitting.

What to include on a quote for UK joiners

A joiner’s quote should show the timber and whether you are fitting. These lines are an example of a straight flight, not a catalogue price.

  • Staircase, softwood, straight flight, made in the workshop. The making, named by timber and layout.
  • Spindles, newel and handrail. Separate from the flight, because they move the number.
  • Day on site to fit. Omitted if you are only supplying.

Frequently asked questions

Can a joiner use this quote generator with no account?
Yes. Make the PDF, download it, and send it with the drawing. There is no limit and your document is not stored.
How is VAT added to a staircase quote?
Enter the net price of the flight, the handrail and the fitting day, then tick Add VAT if you are registered. The PDF adds 20%. If the workshop price you typed already includes VAT, leave the box unticked.
Is a joiner’s first sketch a quote or an estimate?
It is an estimate until the opening is measured and the timber is chosen. Once you will stand behind the flight, the spindles and the fit, send it as a quote. The form prints the word you select.
Should hardwood and glass be inside the labour?
No. They change the price more than the hours. Give them their own lines so a glazed oak unit is not compared with a softwood blank.
